‘Camera obscura’ is an optical effect that reverses and inverts an image as light flows through a small ‘pinhole’ into a darkened space. These photographs explore the fleeting, ever-changing visuals produced with a giant natural pinhole camera. Each image appeared for only moments; each series of images appeared - and disappeared - in less than ten seconds. We photograph some of the resulting myriad of brief ‘camera obscura’ images and produce pigment ink prints of these images on archival, museum-quality paper in limited editions of ten.
